Morpheus8
Morpheus8 is a device that combines microneedling with radiofrequency technology for fractional resurfacing that stimulates collagen production. It uses tiny needles and radiofrequency waves to rejuvenate the skin. During treatment, a group of tiny needles are inserted into the skin to create a superficial wound. The damage stimulates the growth of collagen, which can benefit common skin issues like enlarged pores, scars, skin loosening, and wrinkles. In the meantime, radiofrequency (a small electric current) is delivered into the skin through the needles and produces heat. The heat targets the fibroblasts and allows for further production of collagen and elastin to strengthen the dermis, so the skin can remain a tight, plump, and smooth look. For patients with acne, the micro-needling process can create channels on the skin to allow inflammatory materials such as bacteria and sebum to pass through, so to reduce inflammation.
